Who we help

Myla helps every team member understand their part in protecting patients,
the practice and its information.

Dentists and practice owners

You carry the accountability.

We help you make confident decisions about technology, vendors and AI, and know where your practice stands.

Practice managers and privacy officers

You keep it all running.

We give you clear roles, ready-to-use policies and templates, and leadership training to guide your team.

Your whole dental team

Everyone handles patient information.

We give your team short, practical training to recognize risk and respond with confidence in everyday work.

Understanding privacy and cybersecurity was already a challenge. Then along came AI.

Today your practice runs on software, computer systems and connectivity. Scheduling, charting, imaging, billing and patient communication all depend on them. That technology makes your practice faster and better. It also creates risk.

Protecting patient information and keeping systems secure were already big responsibilities for dental teams. Now AI is arriving in everyday workflows, often before anyone has approved it.

Sound familiar?

An AI note-taking tool is an AI decision, a privacy decision, a vendor decision and a security decision, all at the same moment. Handled in separate conversations, it gets partial answers and no clear owner.

There is a lot to know, and much of it is beyond what your IT provider can solve for you.

You can outsource your IT. You can't outsource your accountability.

Your IT provider protects your systems. But knowing who decides, who is responsible and what is written down is up to your practice, and that's where most practices have gaps.

Usually your IT provider

Systems

  • Multi-factor authentication on every account
  • Backups tested by restoring from them
  • Encryption on devices that leave the building
Nobody, unless it is assigned

People

  • A named privacy officer with real authority
  • Every team member trained, with a record of it
  • Someone who approves an AI tool before it touches a patient record
Nobody, unless it is assigned

Processes

  • Written policies that match how the practice really runs
  • Vendor agreements reviewed before signature
  • A breach response the team has walked through

“Anne's proactive approach to cybersecurity helped us identify and address risks we didn't even know existed.”

Dr. Ed R., Practice Owner

Every day, your team answers the phones, opens emails, chooses software, handles patient information and decides whether to try new AI tools.

Technology protects your systems. Your people protect your practice.

There's an elephant in the room. You don't need to eat it all at once.

In a practice that runs on technology, learning a little at a time to reduce risk is simply good business. Myla breaks the work into small, practical steps and helps your team take them, one at a time.

Anne Genge's motto

Adopt AI with confidence

Know which tools are safe to use, who approves them and how to protect patient information when you do.

Protect patient trust

Handle patient information with the care your patients expect and the privacy rules your practice answers to.

Reduce the risk of a breach

Build the habits and safeguards that keep a breach or data loss from disrupting your patients and your practice.

Build a sustainable practice

Small, steady improvements that make protecting your practice part of how you do business.

We do it with you, and for you.

We work with your team through training, tools and leadership programs, and for you through a network of certified professionals, so the right expertise is there when your practice needs it.

Certified cybersecurity professionals

Hands-on expertise securing the systems, devices and data your practice depends on.

Lawyers

Legal guidance when privacy obligations, contracts or an incident call for it.

Insurance professionals

Help understanding what your cyber insurance expects and what it covers.

Practice management consultants

Support putting new processes to work in a busy dental practice.

One relationship. The right expert for every part of the job.

One bite at a time, with one simple method.

Everything we do connects through the Myla SAFE™ Framework: four simple questions that work the same way for privacy, cybersecurity and AI.

See the risk

Build an accurate picture of where patient information lives, which systems and vendors touch it, and where the practice is genuinely exposed.

Do we actually know?

Assign responsibility

Give every obligation a named person, with the authority to act and a clear boundary around what they decide alone.

Who owns this?

Formalize protections

Turn decisions into written policies, agreements, technical safeguards and procedures the team can follow under pressure.

Is it written down?

Enforce and evolve

Put protections into daily operation, train the team, watch whether they hold, correct what fails, and adapt as things change.

Is it still true?

From the dental clinic to the age of AI.

Myla was built by someone who has spent her whole career inside dentistry, watching technology change how practices work.

  1. The 1990s

It started in a dental clinic.

Anne Genge began her career working in a dental clinic, learning firsthand how a practice runs and how much it depends on the trust of its patients.

  2. 2007 · Alexio Corporation

Protecting healthcare from the IT side.

Anne co-founded Alexio Corporation, a managed IT and cybersecurity firm for healthcare, and has spent the last twenty years focused on IT and cybersecurity. Working alongside practice owners, she saw firsthand what strong IT can protect, and what it can't: the people and processes inside the practice.

  3. 2021 · Myla Training Corp.

Training and consulting, built on dental roots.

Anne founded Myla Training Corp., a full-service training and consulting firm for healthcare, focused on dentistry. Short, practical training for every role, consulting that meets practices where they are, and the Myla SAFE™ Framework to tie it all together.

  4. Today

    Three domains. One simple method.

As AI arrived in dental workflows, Anne added executive education in AI and Law and in healthcare AI implementation to her privacy certification, and Myla brought AI safety into the same method as privacy and cybersecurity. More than 50,000 healthcare professionals across North America have now learned with Anne, supported by a network of certified professionals.

What we believe

Our Mission

We help dental practices of every size discover what they don't know about privacy, cybersecurity and AI.

Then we help them see their risks, give every responsibility an owner, put protections in writing and keep them working, one affordable, bite-sized step at a time.

Our Vision

A future where every dental and healthcare practice can benefit from technology with confidence, because privacy, security, safety and accountability are built into how technology is chosen, used and governed.

Our Core Values

Five principles guide every course, framework and conversation we build for dentistry.

01

Protect What Matters

Your patients, their information, your team's trust and your practice's continuity. Technology changes. What we protect does not.

02

Evidence Before Hype

We follow the evidence, grounded in credible research, law, regulation and real dental practice experience.

03

Clarity Over Complexity

We translate complex requirements and technical risks into clear decisions and practical tools your team can use.

04

Build Capability, Not Dependence

We teach your team to recognize risk, ask better questions and own the decisions that belong to their role.

05

Innovation With Accountability

We help practices adopt new technology on purpose, with clear guardrails, and keep improving as risks change.
