Evaluate with Myla SAFE™

A structured evaluation guide for one AI product or feature at a time. Working through it helps a practice see the risk, assign responsibility, formalize protections, and enforce and evolve its controls. It does not declare any product safe, approved or compliant.

Checklist ticks are kept only in this browser for convenience. They are not stored by Myla and are not shared with anyone. Use the export to keep a copy with your assessment records.

Vendor due diligence

Thirty-four reusable controls compiled from regulator and standards guidance (RCDSO, IPC Ontario, Health Canada, OPC Canada, NIST). Mark each control as you verify it with the vendor. The register does not combine these into an overall safety or compliance score.

Disclaimer and terms of use

Please read this before relying on anything in the Dental AI Tools Register.

What this register is

The Dental AI Tools Register is an independent research and educational resource published by Myla Training Corp. It catalogues AI products, and traditional dental software with embedded AI features, that dental practices may encounter. Its purpose is to help dental professionals ask better questions, understand what a product's AI appears to do, and plan their own governance work using the Myla SAFE™ Framework.

What it is not

  • It is not an endorsement, recommendation, ranking or review of any product or vendor.
  • It is not a compliance certification. Listing here does not mean a product is PHIPA-compliant, Health Canada licensed, clinically validated, secure or suitable for any practice.
  • It is not legal, regulatory, clinical or professional advice. It does not replace advice from a lawyer, your dental regulator, your privacy officer or your IT and security provider.
  • It is not a statement that Myla has assessed, tested or audited any product. Every record begins as market research only.

Accuracy and currency

Myla does its best to collect information carefully and to keep it current, but errors, omissions and outdated details are possible. Much of the content is drawn from vendor marketing material and third-party directories, which may be incomplete, promotional or wrong. Evidence tiers show where each entry's information came from: tier A entries reflect a vendor's own description, tier B a general vendor link, and tier C a third-party directory lead that the vendor has not confirmed. Products, features, pricing, data practices, subprocessors and regulatory status change frequently and without notice. The last-updated date shown in the register applies to the dataset as a whole; individual records carry their own research date and are not re-verified on a fixed schedule.

Working classifications

AI technology tags, clinical versus administrative use, patient-information exposure levels, clinical impact levels, regulatory screening levels and review priorities are working classifications. They are interpretations of described product behaviour made for filtering and triage, not verified statements about a product's architecture, data flows or legal status. A product's capabilities do not prove the use of any particular model or technique.

Please do your own research

Before adopting any AI product, a dental practice must independently verify suitability, privacy protections, security, contractual terms, regulatory obligations and professional requirements with the vendor, its own advisors and the applicable regulators. Confirm the exact product, module and version you intend to use, since vendor families often contain many different features with different risk profiles.

Regional differences

Governance information here is written primarily for Canadian dental practices, with particular attention to Ontario (RCDSO and IPC Ontario). Dental regulators, privacy statutes and health-information rules differ by province and territory, and in other countries. Clearance by a foreign regulator, including the US FDA, is not Canadian authorization. Confirm the requirements that apply where you practise.

Your use of this register

  • Use it for research, education and planning. Do not enter real patient information anywhere in it.
  • Checklists and comparison selections are stored only in your own browser for convenience. Myla cannot see, recover or back them up. Export anything you want to keep.
  • Myla Training Corp. accepts no liability for decisions made or actions taken in reliance on this register.

Corrections and vendor responses

Vendors and users are welcome to report errors, provide documentation or request an update. Use the “Suggest a correction” option on any product profile to prepare a correction note, then send it to Myla through mylatraining.com. Corrections are reviewed before any change is made and are recorded in the change log.
